Stalked bulbine
(Bulbine frutescens)
Stalked bulbine is a small shrub that grows in the dry valleys of Southern Africa.
It is very resistant to dryness thanks to its oily leaves and its thick stem that it uses as a water reserve.
Due to its richness in acetylated polymannose, its juice immediately soothes the skin and promotes skin repair.
The sap of this plant particularly increases the synthesis of “baby” collagen – “type-III collagen”, which is lost the fastest with age and promotes premature ageing of the skin.
The bulbine sap is obtained by cold pressing the leaves.
