Sea Buckthorn
(Hippophae rhamnoides)
Adorning sandy coastal areas and the dry beds of mountain streams, Sea Buckthorn is a small shrub native to Eurasia, whose foliage, although dense, leaves an impression of lightness. The orange berries of the Sea Buckthorn, rich in vitamins, delight with their taste reminiscent of the sweetness of mandarins.
They are traditionally consumed with milk or as jam by the Tartars or Siberians to strengthen the immune system. Sea Buckthorn oil gives the skin an attractive healthy glow.
