Peach Tree
(Prunus persica)
Considered the “tree of life” in China, the Peach Tree particularly likes sunny, temperate to warm climates. Despite its fragile appearance, the Peach Blossom, a soft pink, blooms long before the arrival of the green leaves with a faint almond scent.
Used to provide hydration and radiance to the skin, the small flowers that embody renewal are used in traditional Chinese medicine. But the appeal of the fruit tree lies mainly in its fruit with its tender and sweet flesh: the Peach.
Coloured white or yellow, the fruit is associated with immortality. In some Taoist representations, it therefore sits in the left hand of the god of longevity.
