The Origin

Onagrine was created in 1981 by Laboratoires Roussel Uclaf, following work on evening primrose oil, so it was only natural that the company should take its name from the French word “onagre” (evening primrose), the herbaceous plant from North American desert areas from which Onagrine's products draw their primary dermatological virtues.

A leading beauty brand sold in pharmacies, and an anti-ageing expert, Onagrine also stands out as a precursor in the use of natural active ingredients taken from plants, one step ahead of today’s move towards more natural remedies.

Now, Onagrine is back with a brand-new line of face-care products using evening primrose oil and other plants from extreme environments.
